Interesting read. I had been thinking this for some time too. Of course, Taiwan is more welcoming of comparisons with Ukraine-and seeing itself as having something to learn from there-than to Iran, so I haven't seen this voiced aloud too often domestically

The Milk Tea Alliance calendar project that operates on multiple platforms including this one ( https://lnkd.in/gFRYmE8G ) is nearing its 5th anniversary, so I wanted to give a shout out for all is has been doing to help those of us interested in/studying/trying to keep up with events and news about that loosely defined network of progressive youth activists in East and Southeast Asia that got its name in 2020....and initially involved mostly people in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand but has expanded in other directions (with Myanmar central to it from the time of the coup on)....
