love how I do paperless billing for all my utilities and other bills, because I don't like getting unneeded mail, and they use the savings from not having to mail bills to me to instead send me shitloads of marketing junkmail for their other products that I'll never buy or subscribe to

the only way to even try to be safe is to behave as if it *is* all men, except we're not really allowed to do that because too many manbabies get their feelings hurt and create systems where we're forced to interact with them

We all know by now that unsolicited advice is criticism, but here's a corollary that gets missed: If someone is venting about a frustration, and you reply to share what you did to avoid such frustration, you are not relating or connecting, you are giving unsolicited advice
