Teaching critical AI literacy to high school philosophy students 💕 we discussed statements about AI based on the philosophical theories we covered in previous classes. Those kids are relentlessly critical! 🤩 way more advanced than what I usually encounter in government agencies or companies ✨️

This is also why there is no such thing as a single anti AI position really. Without an analysis of the reasons behind this professed conclusion you're lost. It can lead to being tricked by entryism which we see all the same with people who co-opt anti AI frames to promote e.g. "responsible AI use"

Iris van Rooij 💭@irisvanrooij.bsky.social · 2w agoReminded of this work by Jäkel & Schreiber (2013) "Introspection in Problem Solving", because I’m trying to solve a chess proof game and have been introspecting deeply on why I’m stuck, how I pursue paths, experience fixedness (even though as cognitive scientist I know I should let go!), etc. 🧵

Arday’s death—because he lost his postdoc. Apparently there’s nothing a white man can do that deserves consequences.
