Yes, Trump pushing data centers, which have the popularity of watching a loved one suffer, WOULD help Democrats if Democrats weren’t also pushing data centers. Right now both parties are awash in tech and AI money, so all you get is bipartisan marketing and captured resistance.

As we’re facing one shortage after another, probably a good time to start recognizing how corporate media subtly eases people into consent and acceptance. We’ve seen this for a long time, normalizing exploitation and brutal precarity while scapegoating people for just wanting to live their lives.

Part of the problem of aggressively fighting insurgent candidates is that it reveals to the base that you’re capable of fighting and then the question changes from why can’t they fight to why are they fighting the battles they’re fighting? It’s a spiral and the desperation only makes it worse.

As perfect an encapsulation of the Right Wing mindset as I’ve seen in a minute. People who have enjoyed incredible privilege and coasted to unearned wealth and power in a system rigged for them and still convinced they are persecuted heroes battling a system that’s out to destroy them.

Sometimes I wonder if the usual suspects who post “Trump can’t do _____ because it’s illegal and _____ institution will stop him” even pause before they hit post. And no, they don’t. Because they’re running too fast from reality and if they even slowed it would destroy them.

Kushner and Trump didn’t “plant stories about meeting with Jeffries to sow division.” You have to give up on these cathartic storylines that make you feel better about what’s actually happening: the parties, as presently constituted, on behalf of the same wealth and oligarchical classes.

Just a reminder that the fascist reversing the progress of the 20th century includes the eradication of the idea of childhood for everyone outside the wealth class, which is relatively new, and the reintroduction of child labor. The signs were there for a while but it’s impossible to deny it now.
