Council and Parliament strike deal for a stronger European Chemicals Agency

The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on bolstering the management and funding of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

I welcome today’s vote in the European Parliament on the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation. Following the plenary vote, the text will proceed to Council finalisation and formal approval, followed by the signature of the act by the Parliament and the Council.
