Finally finished “Mr Squid” from the Funny Amigurumi book by Emilie Penou. Those lower tentacles were hell but all in all he was a pretty fun crochet project.
TFW your dad tries to feed your crochet hobby by ordering 5 bags of mini acrylic yarn skeins. I put one of my regular Paintbox skeins on top of the pile for scale. They were so flat in the vacuum pack I legit though a book arrived! 🤣

So my housemate got me this cute little kitty beginner crochet kit for crimmas probably off Amazon. No rip to her cause its a thoughtful gift but holy fuckballs the people that made this kit put like THE WORST yarn in there for a beginner to try and use. Its thin, slippery and splitty.

Finished my frog! Pretty happy with it for a first try at embroidery. I only had one detail thread that came loose so I glued it down on the back with a lil smudge of modpodge. Those French beans were the hardest part cause I couldn’t understand from the instructions so I had to hunt down a video.
No reference. No colors. Just the mood of this rainy day given what’s going on in the US.
I got 2 Mossery sketchbooks and some refills in today! I played with the mixed media paper one first and despite abusing the heck out of it with way too much water it did not wind up bleeding through at all. The paper buckled a bit but that doesn’t bug me much. Curious to see how the other goes!

I got some silly little cross stitch kits with frog themed embroidery to play with for crimmas so this is a WIP of what I got done in about an hour. People really aren’t kidding when they say this crafts is about having the patience to stab something a million times. 😂
