Thanks so much to @jessicogs.bsky.social for greenlighting my first article at GameSpot! I wrote about Meccha Chameleon and how the game embraces the fun of making things in a moment where human creativity is being offloaded to AI nonsense.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream rewrites the news by @platanoranger.bsky.social "None of it makes any sense, but that’s the appeal, and it certainly beats the shit out of doomscrolling the actual stupidity and cruelty that passes for news in real life." Read on: skyboxcritics.com/2026/06/23/t...

For June, I'm kicking off a new MONTHLY series for $3 patrons, looking at CONTEMPORARY ADVENTURE GAMES! In this 1st episode we play MAIZE, a bizarre game about America, MUTANT CORN, a Soviet Teddy Ruxpin, and a couple of toxic CIA-backed assholes. Come watch! www.patreon.com/posts/contem...

A title card for my new LP series modeled after awful Atlantic City casino nightclub flyers for Boomers who want to feel young and hip but are really just awful. A cacophony of color and text over top of beachy vaporwave stock art. Inset is a picture of Lain as a DJ and a screenshot showing mutant corn. Text announces "the newest mind-blowing experience from the Adventure Gamers' Clubhouse" and the title MAIZE and that it's #01. Also the words CONTEMPO COOL stack and fade out in the background.

Tentacles rise up! Now for all patron's it's time for a new journey through the classics in the Adventure Gamers' Clubhouse #34: DAY OF THE TENTACLE! Come along for time-hopping mayhem and inventory management as a turbo nerd & his weirdo crew save the world! www.patreon.com/posts/advent...

Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle uses her phone while a purple tentacle menaces her from the computer monitor behind her.

it turns out i did review that bond game after all! it's got a bunch of charm and excellent little moments that manage to shine through through a bland blockbuster structure. which is pretty much a direct adaptation of both the strengths and flaws of your average Bond Film:

007 First Light Review: A Playable But Flawed James Bond Movie

IO Interactive's James Bond origin story mostly excels as a playable movie but struggles under the weight of some grander ambitions
