Badenoch on #R4Today claiming the Tories’ problems started with the Coalition when they “had to make compromises” and were perceived as “not proper Conservatives”. Cameron/Osbourne absolutely steamrollered the Lib Dems, got all they wanted, and left Clegg &c. as patsies. What is she on?

For 'professional' reasons, I am a member of lots of small town Facebook groups. This bloke has been appearing in towns across Sussex (Horsham, Redhill, Crawley, East Grinstead) with no apparent explanation. This is precisely why I stay subscribed to these groups.

Ok look the Conservatives might be third in the polls and all that so you might think they have other priorities but fully support diverting all the HQ’s resources in whatever this is.

Different nations of the UK have different policies but - starting with Welsh-based politicians - MPs with young children will begin losing their free nursery hours from 2028 onwards when their salaries hit £100k. So, yknow, this might suddenly become a policy of mysterious cross-party appeal.

James Cleverly's just put out the outline for his London mayoral campaign. It's going to be built around repeatedly asking three questions: 1. Do you feel safe walking home alone at night? 2. Can you afford to build a future in London for you and your family? 3. Are you proud to be a Londoner?

More interesting is that British journalism is so distrusted and degraded for understandable reasons that… rather than doing oppo research and laundering it by giving it as an “exclusive” to a friendly newspaper, you just release it yourself through your in-house “news outlet”.
