In light of the recent Lindsay Clancy case, et al, & data showing how doula care during & after birth reduces bad pregnancy outcomes including postpartum depression & psychosis, should not all expectant & new mothers receive gov't funded & appropriately trained doula care if amenable? #NYCDoulaPgm
The endpoint won't be socialism or capitalism in their textbook sense It will be more humane, fair,& rules-based governance or more kleptocracy in sheep's clothing More upward mobility for the bottom 80% (& small business) or more legitimized corruption, entrenching monopolies & extreme inequality
