It's not inconsistent to bemoan abrupt shortages of fuel due to reckless government actions while cheering on green energy industries best positioned to take the reins. Meanwhile, we rightfully lament the inflationary hit imposed by the absence of a fair and orderly transition.

High oil prices create demand destruction for oil as it gets replaced with sunshine and batteries which become increasingly in demand, grows the industry, attracts talent improving tech, and lowers cost with scale.
Apparently it's not enough for the administration that most undocumented come seeking work (not a handout) and that they subsidize our social security by paying into it without the legal entitlement to benefit from it in retirement or disability. to tune of $25.7 billion in payroll taxes in 2022.
