"Clawing our way forward. House by house. 'One at a time, all the way to Mariupol,' Bohdan used to say." This week's miCRo, chosen in part by a class from Amsterdam University College, is "House by House" by @lathamwithapen.bsky.social, which focuses on memory as fragmentary. Link in thread.
Still the undisputed champion of spending 45ish minutes looking for a place to submit only to ultimately submit nowhere.

Bertolt Brecht was a German playwright and poet who fled Nazi Germany in the 1930's. In different translations, this poem's title is sometimes "To Those Born After" and "wrongdoing" is often "misdeeds" or "horrors." No matter how it's translated, I feel this deep in my bones.

Our colleagues at Gettysburg Review have received some devastating news. It’s alarming for the literary community as a whole, & the SLM fam encourages everyone to voice their thoughts to the university that defunded them. All our voices matter! Matt is a real-life human resource book. Can't recommend his newletter enough
