All these "AI gone crazy" articles out there sound like this to me: "Machine that tells people what it thinks they want to hear tells people what it thinks they want to hear when they ask leading questions to get it to tell them the thing they want to hear."

It didn't matter what the author meant by "the curtains are blue". What mattered was your ability to have an idea that's yours and prove you can defend it with evidence. It was not about getting the right answer, no more than going to the gym is. The exercise is the point. Your brain is a muscle.

Ya know, when Google+ came out I was like "we have Facebook already, no one needs this! But if Google+ came out today, I'd be like "sure, why not?" There just isn't a solid FB replacement out there. Bsky is alright, but it's more Twitter than FB and I wasn't ever a big Twitter person.
