Q2. I've written about the experiences of soldiers in the past, because I was taught to prioritize the emotional experiences of the ones doing the killing over the ones being killed. I'm increasingly uninterested in that. These days my books center the experiences of civilians. #HorrorWritersChat

The fun thing about the post-hospital dietary restrictions is that I get to try food I wouldn't otherwise have tried, e.g. I just poached eggs for the first time (they came out pretty well!)

Hey so with Trump casually telling a cheering crowd that it’d be fine if Iran blows up Los Angeles or San Diego, I’m gonna need y’all to get real familiar with “false flag operation” and make sure everyone else in your life is, too.
I try VERY hard not to be an alarmist but Trump is following an incredibly familiar playbook here.

I have endured five months of summer weather and yet I have eaten maybe five days of mango. Where is the mango?? Is there a blight?? Is there a plague??
I can’t actually fault this hospital in India for not having mango since it’s not mango season (there is a giant mango-less mango tree to prove it) and they have given me many other tasty fruits, but summer in the US was also lacking good mango, even when I visited LA which can usually be trusted.

The fact that they're timing the bombing of Iran around the midterms is of course evil, but it's also a sign that they are substantially more logical than certain online ravings might make you believe. Can't be completely devastating the economy when you've got an election to win.
