Naturalist, environmentalist, climate activist, nature photographer, very woke and proud of it.

Hugely wishful thinking If emissions peak by 2040 and fall rapidly, research shows we might get away with 'just' a reprise of the Pliocene ~ 3C higher temperatures and sea level eventually 15 - 25m higher If they don't, it will be worse - much worse www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Global heating will hit at least 1.8C, UN warns, and there are ‘no good outcomes’

But scientists say the world could get back to 1.5C through deep, rapid emissions cuts and removing carbon from the atmosphere

My thread response to @georgemonbiot.bsky.social on one page, about the absurdity of claiming we can just adapt to climate change, without mitigating climate change itself, by phasing out fossil fuel burning. It takes ecological ignorance to believe we can adapt. skywriter.blue/@steb77.bsky...

Firstly, on the Guardian from 16 years ago, I posted a huge number of comments, warning people that it was the early phases of climate change, which would start to hit us, through ecological impacts, ...

This refusal of European political leaders to say climate change during this year's heatwaves, gave me a real sense of déjà vu. It is so like the refusal to say genocide, during a genocide. It's obviously from the same playbook, gaslighting 101. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...

Why are European leaders staying silent after our summer of climate shock?

Lethal temperatures and wildfires have exposed a widening gulf between voters demanding action and politicians unwilling to confront the long-term choices global heating requires

If Nigel Farage was a true patriot and lover of the British Empire, he'd tell Trump, that the US had to re-submit to British rule, as they broke away illegally, using terrorism. That Trump had to swear an oath of allegiance to King Charles. MBGA www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Trump threatens to declare strait of Hormuz ‘territory of the United States’

The Mail seem obsessed with the confabulations of this black professor, but totally ignore the much bigger knowing lies of Donald Trump, and Boris Johnson - who they employ. Is it because he's black, or are only rich white racists allowed to make shit up?

"Nigel Farage has said he would, “don khaki, pick up a rifle and head for the front lines” if Theresa May fails to deliver Brexit in the fashion he wants." Farage hypocritically claims to be concerned about politicians who incite violence. Yet he often has. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli... 1/2

Nigel Farage would 'pick up a rifle' if Brexit is not delivered

It is not the first time the former Ukip leader has threatened civil disobedience over Brexit

14,000 killed by Europe heatwave in a single week. 300,000 flee wildfires in France & Spain. 70 MILLION in the US to be hit with third heat dome in a month. This is our world as it approaches 1.5C above preindustrial temperatures. Our kids face 4C+. We claim to love them. But we do nothing.

It is the 15th Anniversary of the Utoya Island Massacre, when a deranged right wing terrorist shot dead 69 young people, mainly teenagers, attending a summer socialist camp, simply because they were left wing. See this poignant message from Aurora. 1/4

They say, madness is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result. Do not expect any mainstream politician to ever do anything to change our corrupt, life destroying system. A good test is wealth tax. If a politician won't openly advocate a wealth tax, they're corrupt.

Hard to think of a more deeply damaging start to Burnham’s premiership than giving green light to new oil & gas in N. Sea, if true. It won’t lower bills or lead to greater energy security but will drive an even hotter planet. What a terrible signal to give to rest of the world #ClimateVandalism

Andy Burnham will announce plans for new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea when he becomes prime minister on Monday, the BBC has been told. The announcement will form part of a flurry of policy m...

This sort of public speculation by the police about the motive for a murder is highly unusual. Usually, we only learn about the views and motives of a lone killer, or someone who perpetrated a violent attack, at their trial and afterwards. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026... 1/2

"Farage refused taxpayer-funded security because it was ‘inadequate’" From what I've seen, Farage uses his so-called security detail, as a bunch of heavies to intimidate reporters and hecklers, and this is nothing about real security. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Farage refused taxpayer-funded security because it was ‘inadequate’

Reform UK decided to continue providing its own protection for Nigel Farage, rather than ‘gamble with his life’, a spokesperson said

This is true. Farage has no respect at all, for Anne Widdecombe, because of the shameless way he has been using her tragic death, for political propaganda reasons. There are no depths too low for him to sink. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Farage accused of ‘exploiting’ Ann Widdecombe’s death as ‘political propaganda’

Nigel Farage paid tribute to Ann Widdecombe, telling reporters he did not believe her death was ‘a burglary that went wrong’

THE BIG QUESTION people need to be asking themselves, is why was Farage/Reform protected from media scrutiny for so long? It is now 2 years since the 2024 general election. So why is this only coming out now? If Reform had been scrutinised back then, they would not have grown like they did.
