news: your favorite classic video game composer is BACK. and writing two tracks as a stretch goal to lend prestige to a nostalgic indie game kickstarter, every few years

so excited to have played a part in this album by a good friend and one of my favorite musicians in the world. dami breaks new ground with every release and what I've heard of this one so far is really special. wow the packaging looks great too I can't wait to get my hands on it

🪻 new album announcement 🪻 A PLACE TO KEEP YOU is my vocal album debut! an emo singer-songwriter record featuring chiptune and live instrumentation. intricate, authentic arrangements for NES, SNES & Gameboy accompany performances from both friends and myself! it releases on FRIDAY, SEPT 18!!!

the cover art for "A Place to Keep You" by Hunter Van Brocklin. it shows a small house with its porch light on, largely obscured by trees and shrubs except for the stairs leading up to it. a large apartment building can be seen behind it with several of its windows lit up. the artist and title text appear to the right in white with a big quotation mark next to them.

injured my eye by typing in spreadsheets and clicking on the piano roll and playing metal gear and texting my friends all day every day. life is so sweet and so cruel

went to see my friend play with a local singer this week. she was on stage talking about "this song is out now on all platforms" ????? I didn't come here to think about Platforms, I'm trying to "connect to another human via song". like can you save that for instagram? "all platforms".. ridiculous!

currently reading. a dear friend sent me a copy because she wanted to discuss it, which I could never reject. and so while I've read a lot of hard books this year my greatest challenge yet will be "being seen in public reading a book that is big on tiktok right now"

in my hand is a paperback copy of "the count of monte cristo" by alexandre dumas, penguin classics edition

getting to know the ppl who worked on this game has been such a joy that sometimes I forget I also wrote some of my best ever music for it. I'm so excited that everyone will get to enjoy it SOON‼️‼️‼️ stay tuned

my dear friend @michaelwithana.bsky.social and I put together a bespoke 9-piece "rouge stage music from sonic adventure 2" cover band for this very special occasion. I'm working on the arrangements and I'll be playing drums. this will probably only happen once ever! not to be missed! I'm so excited

this has some bgm by me for the interlude comic bit + a little chiptune arr of the channel's intro jingle. (you might have heard the former on "selections #10") cool video! the presentation is pretty cute and unique
