We have written to the cabinet member responsible for libraries, Councillor Hossack @Essex_CC Nearly seven weeks on he has not yet responded to our proposal for an online public meeting, after he first asked to meet with SOLE. Is he bottling out?

Reform are furious about LGBT books invading Warwick libraries. Reform leader George Finch said he was acting on “a number” of complaints from local people. So Labour MP Rachel Taylor asked the council for the actual figures. There have been zero complaints. via Reform Are Not Your Friends

This evening we can reveal that the total number of complaints received about the promotion of Pride within Essex Library Service prior to its social media ban was zero. ZERO COMPLAINTS WERE RECEIVED. We were told that the leadership was responding to public concerns.
