Somehow following your own instincts as an artist and accepting commissions from grateful individual patrons who will LOVE your art is selling out, but working for a corporation whose only interested in wringing every dime out of the soul of every beloved IP isn't?
Seeing some of my fave "big-name" artists on BSKY joking that they might have to stoop to making erotic art to make a living has me miffed. Erotic art has A) been artistic subject matter in all time periods and cultures, and B) Erotic artists are ALWAYS at the front of threats against the arts.

I bought a sketchbook over the weekend and was testing a bunch of my #artsupplies on the paper. It’s even funnier being inside a store and digging through a #sketchbook while feeling the paper to see if the texture is right. I must look like a maniac.
