Late on a Monday night, four friends stay up reminiscing. Sleepiness and familiarity reveal their boundaries to be obsolete and their labels inadequate. Cozy x Lex x Simon x Heidi. Thanks for finding entertainment in my creations. It's an honor to have you as an audience.
(contd) Threat of dawn. Idle affection is being brushed on skin in chaste circles by the backs of fingers. "We should sleep," says Cozy. Circular patterns alter course, obeying lines of anatomy downwards, trespassing. Changing the rhythm of breath. "We should totally sleep," says Lex. (colour alt)
(contd) Before it would have made sense to finally get some sleep, but that point has passed. Hours ago they shed their clothes because they were exhausted and it was fun. But that initial thrill transforms into familiarity in the pre-dawn hours and getting dressed again is as foreign as sleep.
(contd) It's so late. They're sharing stories. Heidi mumbles her recollections of a sleep over where Lex dared everyone to sleep in their underwear. Only Simon clocks Lex idly toying with the button of her shorts. "We should do that again," says Heidi. It's half serious.
Dedicating my last post to all the Monday night insomnia sufferers!
It was Monday. Simon needed some face time with his friends after a rough day at work. They got nostalgic about slumber parties to start with. It was Lex who pulled out the air mattress. Reminiscing on the lumpy pad in low voices til it was so late that the night must only belong to only them.
Heidi X Lex. The morning after Heidi's last drawing session with Lex and Cozy. Off screen, the sound of breakfast being made by Cozy.

A week of life drawing sessions where Cozy models for his friend Heidi culminates in one last drawing session. (Not pictured, Cozy's girlfriend Lex who's just off screen and egged this on.)

One of Lex's very fond memories is on the last day that Heidi came over to draw Lex's boyfriend Cozy and watching the tension finally shatter.
Inspo for last. We had this Adonis of a model at a drink and draw once and he was so shy he only did back poses for us for the entire session. In my experience there is an inverse correlation between how much time a model spends in the gym to how bold they are on the stage. 😆
