When I was sixteen I got cishet adults tell me "It gets better" while not taking me seriously. Well I'm now thirty four years old as of today and wondering to myself when dose it get better exactly?

@lawrites.bsky.social I was considering going to the cinema on my birthday to watch Spider-Man Brand New Day because at the time there was 5:15pm showings. But when the site updated itself the showings on my b-day are too early. Disappointed I looked up when it comes out on digital. October 6th

Its easier for neurotypicals to take a stance against social media and be all like "Step away from social media. You'll be happier and healthier! go spend time with your friends" While this person is not autistic and has a loving partner and a bunch of friends.

Common ableist phrases: You're just lazy Get a job You're not even trying Others can do it, why not you? It's easy Get to the point You always make a mess These are just some examples.

What I mean about throwing people off. They seem to think I'll talk like I do here. Do people forget here that I can edit what I write a million times and no pressure in a short amount of time to say what I think ? Do other humans not realise this ? Maybe. Maybe not. No wonder I prefer dogs.

Part of my autistic experience is often not being able to find the words or, if I can find them, not being able to speak them. This is a regular acurance in a public setting. It feels like there’s some kind of block, like my brain is so busy that there’s been an abrupt stop.
