No one should face exclusion or discrimination because of who they are. The Green Party stands in solidarity with the trans community and will keep fighting for equality that includes everyone.
Don't be a dickhead, put the welfare of people using your spaces first, don't tolerate silly attempts to rules hack your toilet's gender policy in order to harass people who are normal users, and the equality act would support you.
The original guidance was as close as you can get to a common sense intergration and balancing of everyone's collective and individual rights to dignity and privacy. Which is why they had to get rid of it.
