As trust in experts seems to be eroding, the findings of this project, published in @policy-politics.bsky.social are reassuring. Matthews & Wood analysed questions asked to experts by legislative committees in the UK. While they expected politicians to ask populist questions, this was actually rare.
Policy success is greatly shaped by the way in which policies are implemented. To better understand how this process works in different political systems, I am co-chairing this 👇 workshop on policy implementation in July 2026. We welcome contributions from around the world.
