Through a federally funded clinical and translational science program, Gema has met patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center from across Texas whose experiences help inform her research.
For Gemalene (Gema) Sunga, cancer research is about improving patients' lives. She studies head and neck cancer and works to better understand how the immune system responds to these tumors. @houspag.bsky.social
