Gonna get my shot off while FGC folks are busy at CEO. Marvel vs. Capcom 2. IMO, it's a glorified official MUGEN that is busted mess, has a boring soundtrack, dull stages, and lacks personality and flavor beyond "Let's throw all these sprites we made over 6 years into a game". Far prefer MvC1.

No hate, no dogpiling, just curious. For me, it's Skyrim. Don't know why, considering it should be exactly my kind of game, but it just didn't click for me.

what's you "I did not care for the godfather" of games?" written above a screenshot from family guy of the family being drowned by sprinklers in their panic room.

Getting clips to update my commentary reel, and I've been thinking more and more about making a guide of some commentary suggestions, dos, don'ts, etc. Had a lot of writing ideas on my mind + ways to keep busy, and providing a resource of a sort to the field seems like a way to go.

Seeing people upset that the new DLC expansion for #DBSZ isn't included as a free update or the Ultimate Edition. I know people have a thing against Sparking Zero for some reason, but expecting 30 characters, 4 stages, and a whole new mode completely for free is... wild, no?

Played the Marvel TOKON Open Beta at 3AM in a hotel in Binghamton this morning. Not risking online play here. I'd really love to write about this game and cover it somewhere both from my PoV as a commentator/analyst in the FGC and from the artistic PoV, so if you have an opening, hit me up!

The key part of GDQ's statement here IMO. Seems very clear that the story of SNK's ownership might've missed their purview, which makes sense if you're outside of certain bubbles. Rough spot for all involved, but a great move by GDQ regardless.

Saw discourse about Omega/MJF's 1-Count spot. The big thing that I want to add is that Omega's 1-Count spots work so well because they're less "adrenaline" and far more spite-fueled. Every instance of it can be seen as an insult to Omega, so the kickout is a "Screw you" right back. #AEW

With physical games going to the wayside, it feels so weird to be losing what was a cornerstone of my childhood. Coming home from school one day to see a Toys R Us bag that had Pokémon Gold and Silver is an enduring memory. A deep sadness in my mind that we see or experience less moments like that.

Ash's writing surrounding the Yakuza/LAD series and RGG Studios' numerous missteps is succinct and poignant befitting a published author in their own right. If you're looking for someone with a keen eye for critique that spares not even her favored games from her searing gaze, bring her onboard!

A person seeking to live their life as their true selves should never be seen as a form of terrorism. It's laughable especially in light of the very real terrorism worldwide that people live through. Trans Rights Are Human Rights. 🏳️‍⚧️

The one thing the Mixtape discourse really makes me somewhat sad about is that it's overtaken Dead as Disco on my feeds. Got my hands on the game today, and it's everything I was hoping for from the demo version I played thus far. Excited to dig into it!

Nintendo shadow-dropping a "mini-Direct" and it being a Star Fox 64 Remake announcement is some wild energy, but I'm here for it. The Challenge Mode makes me hopeful that they're adding some additional stuff to the game as a whole. I'm all for this honestly. Also, does that mean... Zelda...?

There's a looooooot to unpack with me discovering today that someone I used to go to school with is an actual high-up part of this administration. He's living the dream of about 80% of the school's populace, so sheer odds dictate someone *had* to break through. Just the *who* gets me.
