Testing to record a Sunday improvisation on video #piano #improvisation
Cutting the existing purple wall as well, slowing going towards more visual variety... #gamedev #pixelart (oh, and still loving @deepnight.net's LDtk editor)
Testing to break the background wall, which makes me wonder what to put behind it now 👀 #pixelart #solodev #gamedev #indiedev
That one was overdue: I have made various improvements to my 2D game engine Ceramic over the past months, added new docs and examples, so it's finally time to release it! ceramic-engine.com/blog/ceramic... Now, we brand new Ceramic and Loreline versions out, let's #gamedev! #enginedev #solodev
Wrapping up the summer with Ceramic 2.2 - Ceramic
A new Ceramic release with a reworked Dear ImGui integration, native audio filters, SIMD rendering... And a big batch of new guides and examples on the website!

You secretly dreamt about running Loreline on a PHP server? Well, now you can! (along with many other improvements of Loreline) loreline.app/en/journal/a... #oldschool #interactivefiction #gamedev #php #godot
Summer's over: take out your notebooks (or Loreline) - Loreline
A quick recap: arguments in beats, PHP support (yes, really), a 100% GDScript export and other improvements.

Word-wrapping has been a requested feature for Loreline, though it’s not necessarily easy to do it while keeping the structure readable. Testing a one-space indent on additional lines to differentiate them from explicit line breaks #interactivefiction #gamedev tools
Question to #unrealengine devs, with the recent announcements of #blueprints being discarded, what would you recommend to do for someone like me making Loreline (loreline.app). Still support #UE5 & Blueprints? C++ only? “Verse-first?” Any input is appreciated! #gamedev
Loreline - Tools for writing interactive fiction, video game dialogues and branching narratives.
An open-source scripting language for writing interactive fiction. Branching dialogue, player choices, characters, and story state, in a syntax designed for writers.

Interesting tool, but my guess is substantial parts of this are made with Claude Fable, available last week, perfectly matches the timing and style of this repo, and it would be better if the author disclosed that clearly, given that people are asking.
I've made a new dialogue system. It's open source, has a friendly editor, and runs on Unreal, Unity, Javascript, and Godot. You can find it at patterkit.dev And I've written too much text about it over here: medium.com/@wildwinter/...
loreline seems really nice for doing dialogue in godot (if you want to program the dialogue box yourself).. the editor is really straightforward+you can play out the dialogue etc
Running Dear ImGui from cross-platform Haxe code and my game engine Ceramic. Works on all targets, including Web export (bound via WASM), and the Unity export (transpiled C# bound to imgui with P/Invoke). Pretty wild setup, but fun to see it work that well! #gamedev #enginedev

#screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev #solodev Totally WIP: testing new materials, like this rough and shiny gold/copper surface, to see how it plays with the lighting system.
this seems like a fun way to plug writing into godot… feels very clean loreline.app/en/

AI: virtually no subject provokes such vitriol in my communities. I can grant the haters many of its harms, but their solutions leave much to be desired. I fear for the future even as I wonder at the future we are living. And so, dear hater, I must write: shaping.systems/blog/ai-suck...
AI sucks. Hating it is not enough.
A jeremiad on uninvention and bitter hope

This kind of feedback always feels so nice when you've put so much time and dedication into making an authoring tool!
Just woke up, and it looks like Loreline is getting some visibility from Hacker News again, nice, keep spreading the word! #interactivefiction #gamedev

I’d encourage you to give the demo of the amazing @etienneperin.bsky.social a go if you’re into harvesting a cosy vegetable garden on a foggy, deserted island, surrounded by a creepy mime and some other mysterious characters…
For Steam Neo Fest, Harvest Hollow — the narrative game I'm working on at Ev.l Prod — now has a demo available! If you'd like to give it a try, share your feedback, or add it to your wishlist, you know the drill. Hope you have fun with it!

A project to follow, and to help funding right now! (which Bluesky has been flagging as spam, what a shame).
I am thrilled to announce that Dreams on a Pillow has wrapped up pre-production and we are about to start full production. We can’t do it without your support. We are starting our second round of crowdfunding, to support us you can find out more here www.launchgood.com/1948
