There is something deeply unnatural about rendering out 5 separate SFM sessions all at the same time. Courtesy of an0nymooose's multi-run patch, which removes SFM's "only one copy of SFM may be running at a time" limitation. For better and for worse. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/...

TO BREED AND BOND - CHAPTER 1 EPISODE 4 - NOW AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC WATCHING! Runtime - 2:51 Watch it on the SERIES page: files.lordaardvark.com/Micros/?elem... === This concludes Chapter 1 of BREED AND BOND. It will be cut together into a full 9-minute film and released on Monday, August 10.
It's always an awkward feeling when I am hunting around the Internet looking for references, only to get jumpscared by my own damn tweets popping up in the search results. 😵
This is a random thought I've had knocking around in my head for weeks. I've tried a few times to make it, and finally got it to work. I had to do terrible, terrible things to force the perspective. Judging from Chloe's posters, you just KNOW she's into tigole bitties. Just a one-off experiment.
I really gotta figure out a different approach to series intros than montage sequences. With 18 animations, I think I am putting more work into the intro sequence for the upcoming Marie/Honoka Chapter than what goes into the actual Chapter itself. I can't keep going like this for each Chapter. 🥵
Just as a reminder (and notification for those who missed it the first time), I am falling into a pattern of only streaming once every 3 weeks, with the two other Sundays being spent on game design stuff. As such, I am not streaming this Sunday, nor next Sunday. The next stream will be August 16th.
Been mulling over this. I have a nascent idea, but am curious what ideas people can come up with to bolster it. Current concept: "A secretive group has unstable Progenitor prototypes. Ada infiltrates to retrieve them, and discovers the group uses the temporary BOW mutations for entertainment. \1
The monitors that were literally fished out of a dumpster 15 years ago were finally replaced. The primary's backlight was running at max brightness and still hard to see in dark regions. And the secondary died in front of me in realtime. It's been an adjustment period. HDR burning out my retinas.🥴
Meet Iris! A blisteringly bubbly and unrelentingly upbeat airhead, she only ever sees the best in people. She's utterly incompetent, but that doesn't stop her from being eager to help! The fact she's always suggesting sex as the first solution to any situation gets her surprisingly far, too.
I have learned that Incognita, while voicing Helena, does NOT like saying Honoka's name in a French accent. The amount of takes she's done at just trying to saying Honoka's name in-accent (and the frustration voiced between lines), makes me feel like a bad person for writing these interactions. 😰
I cannot remember the context to which I originally made this gif, aptly titled "internal screaming." But it's found a whole new use since Discord quietly removed the "/tenor" alias command for gifs. I keep muscle-memory typing "/tenor" to trigger gif search and hitting enter. This gif follows.

Something tells me that the idiom "getting up in her guts" isn't supposed to be so literal. I ALMOST started the final 4k render of Episode 4 of Breed & Bond without noticing this. Wasn't until the very last look-over before hitting The Button™ that I caught it.
An updated infographic on the state of Overbreed Episode 1 recording. I felt like it was a lot farther along than what the infographic shows. It's mostly Sequence B, being purely Mercy-driven, that's dragging the ratio down. But we're chewing through it! We finished the Narrative audio last night!
Having finished playing The Alters DLC, The Last Variable (highly recommend, took me 28 hours to finish), I return to Star Trek Across The Unknown. Within the first 5 minutes of returning, I am hit with this. Not even in a choices-matter game can Kim get promoted. I'm wheezing.
We ended today's stream putting together a collection of 31 potential camera angles for the three positions that make up the core of Primordium Episode 4. There is no promise all these angles will be used. They are just possibilities. There is still a lot of technical complexity left to do yet.
Hello, everyone! For today's stream, we are continuing putting together the 4th Primordium episode. We've got quite a bit of work to get through still - it's a rather complex setup. First up is finishing Triss' animation. Then we need to mix everything up! Come join us! picarto.tv/lordaardvark...
Sometimes, you just have a pose and a title come to mind. I don't have any particular plans or ideas associated with this. It really is just a pose and a title. Included a no-text version as well, in case someone wants to do something with it.
I was made aware that I never released the Barbara Gordon model that I had made for C.U.N.T Part 1. Apparently, I was just so frustrated with the project that it completely slipped my mind. Upside, now ya'll get the unfinished Batgirl outfit made for Part 2. files.lordaardvark.com/Assets/autor...
I'm someone who needs constant music playing while I work, to help me focus. Anyone whose stopped by the streams has probably already picked up on this. As such, lip-syncing is always an extra challenge for me, because I have to play my music super quiet, to hear all the subtleties to lip sync. \1

Been playing through the Alters DLC. Absolutely loving it. Already clocked 10 hours into it, and fully believe the claim that it adds 20+ hours of story content. For a $15 DLC of a $35 game, that is obscenely good value in my opinion. My favorite part is the game's pisstake of ChatGPT, though. \1
Someone on my Discord server sent me a Friend invite. When I went to accept it, it gave me a warning. I was confused why it said "no mutual servers." Eventually I realized it said "no SMALL mutual servers." Apparently my Discord is no longer considered "small." I don't know how to feel about this.
Can't overstate how strong the urge is to give Starsail an FTL jump sequence like the VOHLE drive in IXION. I just LOVE this sequence so much. But a 70-second cinematic for every single time you jump, in a game where you are on the run and as such need to jump around constantly, would be obscene.
No stream today, either. Spending it on more game-design work for Starsail. Here's a mockup of one of the UIs I put together after last week's design session. Hoping to knock out most of the major remaining systems today. We will stream something next week, regardless of how Starsail is doing.
On a whim last night, I decided to start work on Caldreth, an anti-monarchist rebel and only legitimate daughter of Queen Nualia. After I got her base body together, I drafted out an outfit for her. Today, I decided to work on her scarf-shawl-thing first. Quite pleased with the results, honestly.

Spent the day working on the SFM Blender Pipeline. The focus this go around was attempting to resolve the biggest technical hurdle preventing it from being practically useful: The fact it couldn't export animations from saved project files. Here is a fresh export of the live-test from weeks ago.\1
Currently playing through Star Trek Across the Unknown, came across the game's implementation of the notorious Tuvix episode. Went to ask Kes what her opinions on keeping Tuvix alive were, and her pure unrepentant hatred for the abomination crashed the whole fucking game. THAT'S what I call meta!
After months dealing with family-health issues, Milly was finally able to get back to recording for Overbreed Episode 1, and got the next batch of her audio in. And I have to say, it's magical finally seeing how she plays off SultryLamp's Moira. Them interrupting each other is just pure art.
