I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving. There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later. They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

Over in the other place, the billionaire owner is threatening to fund ‘moderate’ (rightwing) candidates in heavily Democratic districts too. This is what oligarchy looks like. It’s the biggest threat to democracy today. Not ‘cancel culture.’ Not trans kids. Not college protesters. Oligarchy.

Piers Morgan's weak attempt to justify his double standard to Brian was laughable: "2020 was a referendum on Covid!" And 2024 was a referendum on post-Covid conditions (e.g. inflation) and it destroyed incumbents in elections across the globe, including UK conservatives... so what's your point?

Trump won the popular vote by 1.5% this year, which according to @piersmorgan.bsky.social was Democrats getting "pounded into total, shameful, humiliating oblivion." @briantylercohen.bsky.social: "Would you have said the same thing about [Trump] in 2020 who lost by a 4.5% margin nationally?" "No."

Candidates have an obligation to court voters and not simply assume their record speaks for itself — but this is one of my concerns One lesson Dems might learn is that spending precious political capital on stimulus, infrastructure, etc. isn’t worth it and instead they should wage culture wars

President Biden saved Teamsters’ pensions with funds from a law opposed by every elected Republican… yet an alarming number broke for anti-union/anti-labor Trump anyway We simply can’t assume Americans will vote for politicians who materially deliver for them — something to consider for the future

Teamsters union members who voted for President-elect Donald Trump said it was "definitely social issues" -- like trans rights and immigration -- that made them support the seemingly anti-union candidate www.inquirer.com/politics/ele...
