Here's an example of what I'm trying to make. Of course, I still have to fix the text design, and also find a section from the book that I really want to highlight, and those 40-odd words have represent the whole thing better or at least differently to the existing tagline XD
Once again, I'm reminded how difficult it is to choose a chunk of text that works beyond the context of the scene/chapter/book, etc etc (Examples to follow, if I get time)
That's obviously disappointing about Metallica, but not surprising, I guess - it's how most rich folks roll, even if they used to be different.
Going to trial a different sort of promo post, a bit like what I've done before, but I'm putting it together differently... ish Time to do some trials!
I think if I mute the word 'nostalgia' I can then avoid a specific type of bait-post, and that's gotta be a good thing :D

Sometimes I see something like "our leaders are sleepwalking into [insert crisis]" and once again, I think no. They're not sleepwalking. They're wide awake and utterly unbothered - happy even - and plan to rely on their wealth and positions of power in order to weather the storm they help to create.
Over the last week, I've upset no less than 5 different people with poorly worded text messages/emails - and all were messages that I (wrongly) assumed that I'd written quite carefully, messages that I'd kinda laboured over. Reminder that I gotta check and re-check everything!

Another thing I really tried to focus on, re: 'Vertigo', was just how often Hitchcock would splice in a single shot (often of 2 or 3 seconds only) from an actual location - before snapping back to a soundstage, where the audio could be controlled. (Related: the rough overdubbing in redwood scene)
