Had a great wander around the #GardenMuseum. Loved the gnomes, obviously, and the immersive temporary exhibition on Benton End house, garden, and art school in Suffolk in the 1950s. #museum #london 🗃️

Wandered up the road to Leighton House to see the Arab Hall: Past and Present exhibition. Enjoyed the openness about surviving evidence and willingness to reinterpret inclusively. This is ‘Facets in Resonance’ (2026) by Kamilah Ahmed. #museums #london

Why did place names on a map of Canada matter to geographers in London? In the 1880s, a new railroad connected eastern Canada to British Columbia. As the railway expanded, Indigenous place names were added to official maps - including this 1886 map - which became a point of contention at the RGS.
