Working in my spare time on a Infocom's ZIL language interpreter for fun, and man... debugging this stuff isn't the best experience ever 😅
Guys... @skunkapegames.com @limitedrungames.com don't you also have a pet peeve about half-finished jobs??
Just what we needed from a gamedev engine: a way to fill the market with even more slop, as fast as possible. Unity, why would you focus so much on things whose only yield for us gamedevs is a sinking depression? It seems like you really don't like us anymore
I think indie game developers need a cheap, open gaming platform built on fixed, deliberately limited hardware. An ecosystem where constant technological escalation disappears, speculative bubbles can't form, and creativity thrives without the gravity of hundred-person teams.
After more than two years of research and development, the public demo for Becoming Saint is now available on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/2643010/... #indiegames #gamedev #indiedev #strategy #indiegamedev #medieval #history

While chatting with my wife, I realized that paranoia can be a consequence of anger. I believe that we often fall victim to our emotions. So, stress can trigger anger. We ask ourselves why, and when we can’t find an obvious reason, we see dots and start connecting them to make sense of that emotion.
@ragso.bsky.social I don’t think I ever had the chance to tell you how great the ending of Dreamfall Chapters was! I played it back when the game was still coming out episodically, and it felt like revisiting a suspended memory from my youth. Truly unforgettable. 🙌✨

Sometimes I wonder if searching for references for gamedev on the internet puts intelligence services on edge—one day I’m looking up pictures of terrorists and firearms, and the next day it’s women kneeling to mop the floor.
I wouldn’t call myself an incurable optimist, but I once sought funding and publisher support to persuade Disney to let me port The Secret of Monkey Island to the Game Boy Advance.😂 #gamedev www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2cc...

Back in 2017, I made a tool for creating UI panels/buttons/etc. directly in the Unity editor, planning to release it on the Asset Store. Laziness (mostly writing docs) stopped me from finishing it. I still use it in my games though. Sometimes I wonder if anyone would actually use it. #gamedev #unity
Previous list got filled up so I added you to the Vol.2 list. Would really appreciate an RT to help spread the word if you could! ❤️ go.bsky.app/5p7Pjdg
