Two years ago today, evil was given a new name and a terrifying new face. On that day, the absolute worst of humanity collided with pure innocence at a Taylor Swift themed dance and yoga class for little girls. .

Today I am back in London for the Covid Inquiry as the report on Procurement will be published. Unfortunately some of the report will remain secret while we all wait for the NCA to complete its (6 year?) investigation into Medpro. A reminder of some of the key points:
1/3 In February 2014 Kye and Nicole suffered every parents worst nightmare when their lovely little boy Zane died. That was just the start of an unimaginable battle to fight to expose the truth of what happened. www.gov.uk/government/n...

1/4 Nine years ago today, evil was visited upon us. In some twisted act of revenge, cowards chose to attack not the people in power, but innocents attending a pop concert. Whatever they hoped to achieve that day, they didn't count on the British spirit.
I am back at the Covid Inquiry for the publication of the Module 4 Report on Vaccines and Therapeutics. We hope the relative successes in vaccines will not mask the catastrophic failures in therapeutics.
37 years since the avoidable Hillsborough disaster that claimed 97 innocent lives and impacted many thousands more. Another anniversary when the bereaved should be able to remember their lost loved ones peacefully yet they are having to spend it fighting yet another Government.
Yesterday our team attended at Anfield to visit the Candour and Communities exhibition by the Centre for Peoples Justice.

A 70 year cover up. A scandal so shocking, so pervasive throughout the decades. It’s time for the full truth to come out. @atomiclabrats.bsky.social @stepurse.bsky.social #TruthJusticeAccountability @hillsboroughlawnow.bsky.social
I secured a debate on the injustice faced by nuclear test veterans. For decades they and their families have suffered while being told there was no risk. New evidence uncovered by Susie Fleetstreetfox Boniface shows risk was real and was concealed for decades (1/2) www.facebook.com/reel/4442484...
33 years since my town was attacked and my world view changed forever. 33 years and no one has ever been convicted or held accountable. But the contribution made to the peace process was without doubt, the greatest achievement and must have saved countless lives.

There are two things you don't want to see get made: laws and sausages. The last few months have been eye opening, the last week has been surprising, the last 48 hours have been whiplash inducing.

This is so appreciated! Thank you @charlotte2153.bsky.social
I have made clear to my Whip I will be rebelling if this is not resolved ahead of it being put to a vote, which I am holding out hope it will be. I represent some of the Hillsborough families and will not vote for legislation in their name that doesn't have their blessing in its current form.
