Lived experience is often dismissed – but we should recognise it as a form of expertise

People living with disabilities or through poverty and racism develop deep practical knowledge of how institutions function. They should be seen as experts.

Off the back of the Women's Liberation at 60 conference earlier this month, I'm further developing my paper on Andrea Dworkin's conception of 'sexual intelligence' — & I'm really excited to be presenting it at the AAP in a couple of weeks!! Her reputation as a hetero-sex hater is way too reductive!
