Rent controls will save renters hard-earned money. AND they will save the government money (in housing benefit). Go on - if you're not an exploitative landlord, argue against them! Mr Burnham - aren't they on your list of cost of living problems to be tackled??

If we'd frozen peoples rent in 2022 - the average UK household would be saving £2400 every year. And saving the Government £2bn a year! Any Government who is serious about ending Rip Off Britain would bring in rent controls now.

Know a "Young Adult" with a burgeoning interest in fantasy literature? Don't give the Harry Potter. Give them some Sir Terry Pratchett (his Tiffany Aching books are superb). Proper fantasy, in a well written world which helps them learn some damn good morals.
