We would expect nothing less for a old wraith way, yet it has a pleasing diversity of phantoms: giant spiders made of smoke; flaming wheels; floating pillars of blue light.

The sheer joy of being in the rainforest with actual rain again. But the ever more frequent, intense, and longer lasting droughts and heatwaves are causes for extremely deep concern about the future of such wild, natural ecosystems. Climate breakdown is here.

Finished the last episode of the BBC adaptation of Little Dorrit from the noughties. Blimey 'twas good! Claire Foy as LD & Andy Serkiss a fabulous villain amongst an excellent star-studded cast. Came out in 2008 & I missed it. I had a one year old at the time & was probably asleep (if I was lucky).

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. Morning all, from 'out the back' of my flat. This is a pit stop in the midst of packing up stuff decanted from storage here to take to cheaper storage there. Still dealing with the aftermath of leaving my Dad's house when it was sold last year. The flat is tiny and already overflowing with books.
