Abortion is legal in New York. But the right to abortion is a hollow promise if you can’t access care because of cost. New York must continue investing in abortion access so every patient can get the care they need, when they need it.
Services for survivors of gender-based violence are a lifeline. We’re grateful Governor Hochul is providing additional funding to help domestic violence programs, rape crisis centers, and other victim services stay open, retain staff, and continue supporting survivors across New York.
Across the country, transgender people are facing relentless attacks on their health and freedom. New York must lead by making gender-affirming care accessible to everyone who needs it, regardless of where they live or how much money they make.
