Fellow writers, what gets you past writers block? When you stare at the blank pages what sparks the words to flow? For me it's walking away, taking a break and watching a movie. Usually after that I can get back to writing.

“Just we two” Postcard from my collection, mailed 1909. This is by C.E. Bullard, my favorite of the Victorian/Edwardian cat photographers. He seemed to genuinely love cats and didn't restrain them or cram them into tiny costumes.

Clarence Thomas says the 14th Amendment should be read narrowly because it was written for formerly enslaved people. By that logic, the 2nd Amendment was written for muskets, not AR-15s. Funny how that kind of originalism only shows up when it's convenient.
