Whelp. Looks like I am running three 'Carved From Brindlewood' sessions at UKGE; two sessions of a short form game I wrote myself, specifically designed to be run at cons, and a Public Access one-shot "House on Escondido Street". Whose idea was this? What do you mean "I only have myself to blame?"

Are you interested in trying out a 'Carved from Brindlewood' ttrpg? Or already a fan? Are you free on Sunday 24th May at 7pm GMT? I am playtesting a one shot inspired by the "Alien" series of films and have a single slot available. The session should be 4 hours. Enquire within / please share!

If you like to listen to TTRPG actual plays and like stuff that is not 5e, I'd like to recommend The Lands Remaining by @jasoncordova.bsky.social. The games is not released yet but here are appetizers by 2 different groups with brilliant cast: Bad Spot: shorturl.at/KcMbV Playtest: shorturl.at/M4Zj1

Robotech was highly influential on my youth but it was a highly edited adaptation of a Japanese animé (see also Battle of the Planets v Ninja Science Team Gatachaman). Since I noticed Disney+ has every Macross series, time to watch the original!

Today was the finale of our Public Access campaign. I started running this ttrpg back in March 2025. The ending was somewhat rushed as one of my players has a 6 week business trip coming up, so it was finish today or March... but it is an excellent game and would thoroughly recommend it.

I don't really care what the internet says, the ending to Stranger Things was almost perfect. If I had one criticism, it would be that it took too long for each subsequent season after the first two to come out. To the point where all the "kids" are now twenty-somethings.

Did you know Labour; Won a £10b contract to build ships for Norway creating 4,000 jobs throughout the UK? Are offering free childcare to working parents who earn less than £100k (combined)? No? Not a dickie bird? Is it because that news doesn't talk about "migrants" or "flags" or "Farage"?

I think sometimes it's useful to really think about what these people say. Me verifying my age on any website has, in no way shape or form, made any child safe. There is simply no cause and effect there whatsoever. All that has happened is I have been inconvenienced, and my privacy put at risk.

UK government asks everybody to stop using VPNs. "everybody who's out there thinking of using VPNs...verifying your age keeps a child safe...So let's just not try and find a way around. Just prove your age." - UK government

www.recordreconstructor.com/2025/03/0111... @nottopgearrh.swifties.social I confirm the Joan Osborne bit continues. The latest entry was when you asked for a copy of SNW. I swapped the intro for One of Us. Only you rudely just subbed to the service, rendering my hilarious joke obsolete.
