We're not meant to carry things on our own. Galatians 6:2 says to bear one another's burdens. To share the load when someone's struggling and to let others share yours. This is embedded in our work around the world. Carrying what's heavy together, so that no one faces it alone.

The headlines may have faded but help is still needed. Golda Ibarra, Country representative of Colombia and Venezuela, from the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) shares an update. The death toll continues to rise and thousands more are still missing.

Imagine being a child tonight with nowhere safe to sleep. In shelters across Venezuela, children and young people are the largest group at every shelter. Most sleep without basic protection. Gender-based violence and attempted sexual abuse were found in 41% of shelters assessed.

Feeling the heat? This week’s heatwave across Europe is another reminder that the climate crisis is no longer a distant threat but very much a present reality. India has also been facing extreme heat with temperatures regularly rising above 40°C.

Serving others is at the heart of Christian faith. Across the Bible, believers are called to love their neighbour, stand with the vulnerable and work for justice. But what does that look like in practice?

In Dagoretti, an urban farming movement is driving change. With the support of our partner Beacon of Hope, families are building reliable incomes by growing their own produce, even in the smallest spaces.

Three years ago, conflict engulfed Sudan. Today, 33.7 million people are living through one of the world's most devastating and most overlooked humanitarian crises. On the third anniversary of the conflict, we joined eleven charities to deliver a petition to the UK Government.

The hope of the resurrection doesn’t end with Easter Sunday. It continues today and always. It’s a hope that does not fade with time but stays with us. It shapes how we see the world and reminds us that God is still at work. Even in the darkest times - resilience, renewal and hope can still rise.

‘He is not here, for he has been raised’ (Matthew 28:6) As we rejoice in new life and renewal, we remember that even in the midst of hardship, hope remains. The challenges you face today are real but they’re not the end. There’s always the promise of new beginnings.
