As we mark World Suicide Prevention Day, more than twenty LNER colleagues are gearing up for the Great North Run this weekend. They've secured thousands of pounds in sponsor donations for CALM, contributing to the £780,000 we've raised towards their vital work since our partnership began in 2018.

Happy retirement to Mike, who is retiring today from his role at Newark Northgate station, after joining our railway in 2005. To make journeys easier during engineering work planned for the East Coast main line later in the year, we’re hoping to divert some @lner.co.uk services onto the Midland Main Line. This week we ran one of our Azuma trains to Bedford overnight to test stepping distances and accessibility.

The iconic Flying Scotsman service is back in its original 1000 departure slot today from Edinburgh to London 🚄 The service is now back running both ways, with the Scotland-bound train leaving London at 1030. Classic timings. Legendary journeys. And @lner.co.uk’s famous customer service.

Happy birthday our very own LNER Azuma, which first entered service on this day all the way back in 2019 🥳 Seven years later, the Azuma is still speeding customers up and down the East Coast in style 💨
