New House of Hikmah tech. Trying it in some runs. twitch.tv/otdq
re: gamescom theft... Same as always sadly. I tell every newcomer to gamescom that theft is a huge problem, and they should be extremely paranoid. In 2024, someone went behind our booth with a box cutter, CUT into the locked closet, and pulled my bag out. This happened at ~2pm on Sunday.

@heyitsperk.bsky.social excellent vibes on your run, great work. And perhaps the most appropriately delicate "time" I've ever heard on the GDQ stage. :)
game garden day 2!! i'll be doing a little game audio panel at 2pm with @nhitendo.bsky.social & @regameyk.bsky.social and otherwise hanging out looking at games, so i hope to see some folks around ~
Got LiveSplit up and running again. I think! Figure I'd better get a time on the board. #TheHouseOfHikmah twitch.tv/otdq

I had the pleasure of checking out a way-early build of this. Very excited to see how it's all turned out! Congrats team!
Rami Ismail (رامي)@ramiismail.com · 6mo agoI've wished for Arab-made games about Arab mythology for so long, and despite assisting on the project I still can't believe there's one swinging for the fences this hard. House of Hikmah is something very needed in a time where the world would rather erase us. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZTu...
GG to all the very-early-morning climbers who managed to make it to our annual GDC Bouldering Meetup! Already thinking about how to make next year even better... 🤘🕹️
Running slightly late for the roundtable! See you all shortly. ✨

Power Up Audio@powerupaudio.com · 7mo agoHey #gameaudio folks! Going to #GDC2026? We're hosting yet another informal, open-book, mentorship roundtable! Ask us anything about sound design, contract terms, biz dev, conference tips, demo reels, whatever... we'd love to chat! 🔊 [March 9, 10am-12pm: 3rd Floor, Moscone West]
Fucksake. The #GDC app was showing my home address on my profile by default. AGAIN. This happened in a previous year too. Might want to check your own profiles. What the fuck are they doing over there.

Dawg@dawgnet.tv · 9mo agoDay 3, our final day of DawgFam holiday streams, is upon us. DawgBro and DawgSis will be joining today, back to back starting at 12pm MT! 😎 First, a deep cut throwback with DawgBro and then a sickeningly cute holiday game with DawgSis. We'll sibling it up like ya won't believe! 😄 SEE Y'ALL IN THERE
Love Alan to death. Anecdotally, we were approached to work on this game, but turned it down for various reasons I won't get in to here. Hope whoever worked on sound had an alright time with it.
Draknek & Friends@draknek.bsky.social · 10mo agoSo, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.
For November’s @dwellingofduels.bsky.social contest, the wonderful @coryjohnsonvgm.bsky.social asked me to collaborate on a track from the incredible game Tunic, a cover of the piano-led “Remember To Remember”. There was going to be some room for solos from me and the other collaborators.
"45% more affordable (starting at $649)". My immediate reaction is that this point is at best only partially accurate, and at worst willfully dishonest. Previously, the Expo Floor Pass was all you needed to get in the door. For GDC 2025, it was $249. (1/5)

Man that Clarke scramble was close. I thought for sure it went in and we got away with one. But upon closer inspection.... No goal! #EdmontonOilers
