The memory made him sick to his stomach, so he shook it away. He wasn't like Val. He wasn't doing this to hurt Husk. He just... Needed a taste of his old life, when he'd been blissfully unaware of being a Vee spy, when he'd thought he was happy, when he'd had friends. Husk missed him. Angel gazed down at his sleeping form, sprawled out on his back clumsily on Angel's bed like he'd fallen asleep without meaning to, one of Angel's sweaters clutched loosely in his left hand. Angel had seen his text messages, but he'd thought Husk would just get over it eventually. His heart hurt seeing this— that Husk hadn't forgotten him like Angel had begged him to, that he was still thinking about him this much, that Angel was causing him pain. Husk wanted him, and he wanted Husk. He wanted to lie down next to him and curl up in his furry chest and feel his body heat surround him while he slept the drugs off, but there was no way he'd manage that without Husk waking up first and finding him. He had to make this quick. He just wanted some time with Husk. Just some memories that he could keep for himself to hold him over a little longer during the months he'd spend missing him.
