Can we all calm down about MLB's schedule "proposal?" If it was a real proposal, it would be 400 pages and cover a lot more than a reporter could fit in a tweet. This is a PR stunt, nothing more. It's meaningless.

The Yankees are fixable. 1)They have 8 SP who belong in a rotation, + Lagrange makes 9. Trade 2 of Warren, Weathers, Schmidt, & Elmer for 2B, 3B, and RHH C. 2)Get a manager who is less accepting of failure and doesn't let players FA without FO. That's working pretty well across the river for NYG.

Yankees' postseason fielding has been uncomfortable + variable for a few years now Errors made in MLB postseason since 2021: 1) NYY - 23 errors (35 games) 2) LAD - 21 errors (54 games) 3) PHI - 19 errors (41 games) 4) HOU - 19 errors (44 games) 5) CLE - 14 errors (22 games)

The Yankees were scared of the moment and mentally unprepared to face a Rays team that looked professional in every way. I can only describe their performance as "soft." I know that's not analytical, but everyone in the field looked like they were hoping the batter wouldn't hit it to them.

It is funny that Boone had postgame quotes about like showing resiliency and rallying when your back is against the wall, but his entire tenure as Yankees manager had been defined by ultimately coming up short in the biggest moments. His teams have the resiliency of a wet newspaper.
