Chasing a baseball team.

JP Crawford is back from seeing Dr Meister in Texas. Received an injection, should be back on the field in a couple days at which point the M’s will make the determination of whether or not he can be ready for the start of the season.

We should have some newsy days coming. More on Crawford tomorrow, Opening Day starter in the next couple of days, could have a decision on Miller’s replacement as well.

#Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford left camp to get the shoulder that has limited him this spring looked at. @shannondrayer.bsky.social has the latest on Crawford's status with opening day just nine days away. sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

Easily one of my favorite full circle stories. IYKYK, #Mariners fans loss, Mariners and other orgs gain.

Dave Cameron, who taught #Mariners fans about analytics at USS Mariner, now helps shape the M's roster. And in fact, he and another former "blogfather" were instrumental in completing Seattle's Brendan Donovan trade. @shannondrayer.bsky.social has the story. sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

Bryce Miller will throw his first bullpen today since being sidelined with the oblique issue. With 2 weeks to go it seems impossible he would be ready for the start of the season but M's not saying that yet. Good step regardless. Also, Matt Brash could throw in a game as soon as today.

Kirby was all smiles after his outing partly because it went well but mostly because he used a PitchCom to call some of his own pitches. Estimated he called 8-10 pitches today. He said having it locks him in more. More control leads to more conviction, more confidence. And yes, Cal knows.

Victor Robles back in the #Mariners lineup today at DH after missing nearly a week with a sore shoulder. Bryce Miller to get on the mound for the first time since reporting oblique soreness. Will throw a light "touch-and-feel" session. If he responds well, a full bullpen would be the next step.

This barely begins to scratch the surface of what Bern does for the #Mariners but you have to start somewhere. A walk in the park with the M's mental performance coach. Video in link below

In a 17-minute interview, Shannon Drayer spotlights #Mariners mental performance coach Adam Bernero – a key figure in the organization who helps players maximize what many consider to be the next frontier in sports. sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

For years I have asked Mariners managers if they could see a stamp of "Mariners" on the young players from the farm system we were seeing in spring training. This year I didn't need to ask.

M's insider @shannondrayer.bsky.social has noticed something different about this year's group of #Mariners prospects. So has Cal Raleigh. “They play a different kind of ball game." sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

Ever humble, Andrés Muñoz is not shy about seeking out those who are "open to teach" as he is "open to learn." Story and video chat w/the #Mariners closer which includes a great story of how he learned English, thoughts on the '26 season and the latest on his cat Matilda in the link below.

Andrés Muñoz is a two-time All-Star and veteran himself, but the #Mariners closer is always seeking to learn from other veterans, whether it's teammate J.P. Crawford or his fellow top relievers in MLB. @shannondrayer.bsky.social has the story. sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

The sight on its own was great. The words after? Let's just say it was a great day to be covering the #Mariners.

The #Mariners' Josh Naylor provided a nice moment Tuesday by greeting history-making umpire Jen Pawol before stepping into the box. "It’s not hard to be inclusive and welcoming and happy. I think it could change the world.” (via @shannondrayer.bsky.social) sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

Good to see Garver back in camp. He worked well with Cal and also embraced the role of being the older vet in the clubhouse. Said it was Cal who encouraged him to give the Mariners a call and the deal was done in 24 hours.

Raleigh really goes into depth on the bat talk, left/right, torpedo etc. #Mariners schedule breakdown and packing a suitcase. Full conversation can be found in the video linked below.

Cal Raleigh has been on fire since he got a torpedo bat last week. But the slugging #Mariners switch-hitter is only using it from the left side. Why? He explained to @shannondrayer.bsky.social on The Cal Raleigh Show, plus talked his success in Toronto. sports.mynorthwest.com/wyman-and-bo...
