What is the most exciting? Getting a call from Nobel Prize committee in Oct, meeting your soul mate, marching during your wedding, giving a birth & getting an acceptance letter? I think enjoying every second of our life is the most exciting. I started this week by flying to enter Nami Island, Korea
After my KSBB talk & before 3 invited seminars, I'm visiting Nami Island where a hit K-drama Winter Sonata was filmed with beautiful tree lanes, and Gimyujeong Rail Park & old rail station where you can take rail bike & feel nostalgia. It takes me >10h enjoying a healing trip between my business.
With Dr. Macalincag, I discuss workforce development & outreach activities, including #SynBYSS webinar & conference series as the director of CIRCLE Global Center supported by NSF. Thank Marisa Rinkus & NSF for the invitation and support. @jcvi.org youtu.be/-3wu6eWE-QE?...

I'm crossing a Swiss-French border by ferry for the first time, although I've done so by car, train or foot. Interestingly, 2 flags in the same ship. It's so easy crossing it in Europe, while it's so difficult in America. Hope the world will become more friendly. Nyon to Yvoire

After the conference, I visited Olympic Museum because it was closed 2 days ago. I made it this time by 2h trip. Olympic spirit would not be winning, but keep trying. I found 1988 Seoul Olympic mascot & Korean uniform signed by participants in 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic game, Korea!
If we walk under sunlight on a hot day, we appreciate a shade. Even a shade by a cloud temporarily relieves us. A small break can give us a relief, reflection on our life & new perspective. I travel for 32 days to gain them while giving talks, exploring & hiking. 4 weeks done & 4 more days to go!
