It only feels right to tease what I've been working on: with art commissioned from @felis-rach.bsky.social !! A brand new Prologue is added, finally adding the Planetary Investigation Team's redesigns! Seeking other Celebis, Ceres finds two leaders of the Shining Hope Guild in a strange slumber...

The Planetary Investigation Team is canonically mentioned by Grovyle within the first 5 minutes of PMD2's Special Episode 5. There is nothing else known about them whatsoever. As such, I made them OCs! They were additional friends of the PMD2 Protag who helped them find the necessary locations to use the Dimensional Scream on. Grovyle and Celebi are the founders of the team, though they largely act on their own. Hector is a Flygon-colored Vibrava. He evolved very quickly after being hatched, and as such, his body is naturally taking on attributes of Flygon. His sharp eyesight pierces directly through the darkness, with wings that have grown sturdy enough to support long flights. Samson is an Alolan Meowth, known as a Dark Meowth in this world. He is covered in very many scratches and scars, which Sam takes immense pride in. Samson uses his Pickup ability to gather lots of supplies for the whole team, while using excellent tracking skills to search through thorns or rubble. Fifi is the Espathra. Due to rough survival during the Planet's Paralysis, its cloth-like feathers are torn and shredded. It personally tore out its tail feathers after an encounter with the Sableye. Using Speed Boost, Fifi races across the lands, swiftly carrying fellow members at blazing speeds. Opal is a Hisuian Zorua, known as a Pale Zorua in this world. With an unnatural darkness subsisting within the air, the wisps in Opal's fur turned a corrupted purple and increased in volume. She is able to use illusions to hide away her friends, but her Bitter Malice is able to possess her and cause her to attack indiscriminately.While most locations introduced in PSMD exist in my fanfiction, the Expedition Society had to be utterly reworked within the context of the Planet's Paralysis timeline. This is an early look at these upcoming characters within my fanfiction! Crowned Calyrex takes on no nickname, but his dark royal green look has turned a desaturated purple. His cape has also grown longer, and his head is adorned with gold and emerald jewelry. With time frozen due to the Planet's Paralysis, nature no longer gave him his vital nutrients to live. To survive, Calyrex had to approach a yet unnamed fort hastily being constructed, and earn the people's worship. With the power of the people believing in him, Calyrex, in turn, was able to cause crops to instantly mature despite the fact that time stood still. As Castle Town began to flourish, Crowned Calyrex was nominated as the town's king. While grateful, he could not accept such a role without allowing other Pokemon of value to work alongside him. Forming the Shining Hope Guild, which he personally named himself, Crowned Calyrex inducted many Pokemon who have shown to be adept in combat and research. This includes most of the original members of the Expedition Society, Pokemon from Serene Village, and some brand new faces. There were 3 original "Type: Fulls" created, but only 2 are confirmed to be released. As Arceus created the PMD world for ALL Pokemon, it took one of them to this world. Even while under the Control Helmet, Null is still able to use its powerful scanning sensors to identify any known material and its use. Null is able to manufacture the Expedition Gadgets. Arcadia is one of the original five Celebis who entered the Planet's Paralysis willingly. Returning to her home on the Water Continent, she was more than happy to work for the Shining Hope Guild. With her powers over purity, Arcadia maintains a barrier over Castle Town that neutralizes any corruption that attempts to enter.

While my fanfiction is currently on hiatus, I will be improving the early chapters to be up to standard with the later chapters. Additionally, it will be rebranded to "Darkest Before Dawn" once this overhaul is released!

Did you know? The size of Female Indeedee's apron fur print is inconsistent between artwork and model. In game, the apron print ends to their direct sides, a 180 degree angle. But in the Ken Sugimori artwork and in most anime appearances, its as if both ends were pulled inward by 45 degrees each
