Sketch vs. Final x2 [ #oc | #art ]

extremely minimal sketch of two men holding each other

digital painting of two knights: Wreg (left) and Kauno (right). Wreg is unclothed and wearing a meadow flowercrown, as is custom for various midsummer spells in nordic countries. He's holding Kauno, who is in full plate armour. They are smiling tenderly at each other, and Kauno caresses Wreg's cheek. They are hiding from the setting sun in forest, which can be seen glimpses of in the background.

minimal sketch of a white blob in general shape of a horse. On the horse are two more blobs, allegedly armoured knights .

digital painting of two knights riding on a steed. They are both fully armored in plate. The knight riding is knight oc Wreg and behind him is his red haired knight lover, who is leaning in to kiss Wreg's cheek tenderly. Their horse is playful and is munching in its bridle. Flying around them are five black woodpeckers. Sixth bird has been caught by a talbot hound that's watching at them from under the horse.

a yang for someone on tumblr

yang, a young, tanned asian person with an unruly bleached mullet and several piercings in their face and ears, leans back casually with their legs spread and their hands clasped behind their neck. they're shirtless, showing off both the patchwork tattoos on their arms and their top surgery scars. they're otherwise wearing loose, frayed pants, a carabiner around their beltloop and beat-up red chucks.

Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you
