We've seen people confused about what exactly is going away. Alchemy (the format) is going away. Alchemy (the cards) are staying. Rebalanced cards will be reverted. Oracle of the Alpha stays. You can play it in Historic/Timeless. Rebalanced 0/3 A-Symmetry Sage is reverting to 0/2 Symmetry Sage.

Arena is sunsetting the Alchemy format. On September 22nd, the Arena client will revert all Rebalanced cards to their normal versions. On February 2nd 2027, it will drop support for the Alchemy format entirely. magic.wizards.com/en/news/mtg-... Here's how Scryfall's handling the Alchemy sunset. 🧵

Scryfall is redefining what a card being "full-art" means in search, and adding a new term: Translucent. We're getting reports of some people unable to see images on our site. Reports have come from different countries with different ISPs. We're not sure what's going on, and don't have anything to suggest at this point other than contact your ISP about the issue and wait it out.

Scryfall will be offline for approximately 1 hour starting at August 9, 2026 10:00 PM Eastern US time for critical database maintenance. The API will also be unavailable. We'll post another message when maintenance is over.

Here's some @scryfall.com FYI/trivia: We often get tickets the day we upload cards saying "This card shows up when I request no reprints" but the card is clearly a reprint. This is because there is a nightly job that reconciles reprints. They will show up properly the next day. Patience! Patience!
