Been thinking about it, and IMO the only way to successfully bring back Syphon Filter would be to make it open world with RPG progression and crafting mechanics. Syphon Filter (1999) sold 900k copies, while e.g. Far Cry 6 (2021) sold 999M copies. You could also add a loot grind with gear score.
This sounds like a remake of the original for people who really liked the Survivor trilogy and genAI.
