A week in the field teaching cadets at Washington search and rescue academy. Of all the issues (mosquitoes, no sleep, lots and lots of hiking), the worst is not being able to shower for a week
Oh, forgot to mention @aesonique.itch.io - We talked about a bear trap that drops a bear. Well, here you go. (From Chapter 16 of Quantum Error - bobbinry.com/read/strider...)
Off to Denver for the LitRPG Conference! If you're around, say hi!
This is what an hour of steep turns looks like. (Flight training)
Saw a couple of American flag blue reflecting pools on my flight today.
Day One in Roatán Honduras. Nice place so far. Tomorrow, the beach. Saturday, the dive boat!
My long cross-country flight is completed. Only the check ride remaining. So close to being finished.
Wrote a new D&D initiative/hp tracker. Check it out and let me know what you think. rollinit.app #d&d #dungeonsanddragons

I wish the Meighty Nein had a subtitle track that included the dice rolls.
I just realized why it's been raining so much in Washington. I heard that if you whistle a song while filling the bird feeder, they'll sing it back when it's empty. So all month I've been whistling the Song of Storms. My bad.
@hankgreen.bsky.social Grats with your -34! Good job on Qi. Very funny! (I too thought the first question was BA. Congrats on the claxon. :)
Back in March of 2003, I decided I wanted to read the entire Discworld series by Sir Terry Pratchett. Starting then, I read from book 1 to 41 in chronological order and just finished the last one. After 2.5 years of reading at least a chapter every night, tonight is going to be a sad night.
Soloed... again. I don't foresee my current instructor leaving anytime soon, so hopefully I'll be done within the next month. Wish me luck!
Just finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Beautiful game that's challenging, fun, and emotional. I highly recommend it.
My schedule for the next month: - Next weekend: San Francisco - Following weekend: Japan for just over 2 weeks. - Following Weekend: Denver for LitRPG Con. - Finally, working hard to finish my private pilot license. It'll be busy, but I can't wait. :)
One of my pet peeves: The left image (Staff with 2 snakes and wings) is the Caduceus. It is the symbol of Hermes, the god of Messengers and Commerce. The one on the right is the Rod of Asclepius, the symbol of the greek god of healing. I assume medical places using the wrong are just fleshmongers.
Told my flight school that I want to finish my training. (After taking the winter off because I bought a house and needed the money.) Sitting at 50+ hours and only need my final XC solo. (I also need to work on my C170 landings. Not as easy as the piper.) Still, I'm committed to finishing! #flying
I did a bunch of searching to find out how quickly and the highest quality swords and shields I could buy as research for my book. Now I'm most of my ads are for all kinds of weapons. Honestly, I don't mind. #authors
Usually, I spend most of August in the Arctic running a camp for NASA (et al.) scientists. However, that won't be happening this year due to the U.S. moving to a post-science society (which somehow means going back to the 1800s). But that does mean I'll be able to go to @seattlein2025.org !
Costume I wore to #ECCC. Was a great time. Can't wait for the next one. Maybe I'll actually have physical books to sell. :)
Crap. ECCC (Local Comic Con) is sold out for Saturday. :(
I'm in LA for the week and I really need to find a group that wants to do some escape rooms with me.
