Tyson Foods is shutting down operations of two beef plants- Joplin, Illinois & Eagle Mountain, Utah, due to a cattle shortage. The 3rd plant in Pasco, Washington is looking for a buyer. They will shift processing to other facilities. Joplin alone had 2,500 employees. 8/17 suzierizzo
