People who have sacrificed very little and lost nothing often find it easiest to forgive the very worst atrocities, on behalf of those who have lost everything.

I warned in my article that civilians must be free to choose where they go. Having literally been down this road before, I know why that matters. Lo and behold, the FT now reports evacuees will first be taken to occupied Crimea or Russia.

Today at 15:10, a Russian drone attacked a public bus in Kherson city centre. Passenger trains, markets, bus stations, shopping malls, schools, playgrounds… Russia’s sickening attacks on civilians continue unabated. Six people were injured and taken to hospital, one later died 🙏
